BIO/Contact
I’m Ana Žugić, an independent film editor based in Belgrade, Serbia. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Film Editing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
I have edited several documentaries that have screened at festivals including IDFA, Doclisboa, Hot Docs, Locarno, SXSW Film Festival, and others..
My work on Telenovela: Greyscale in Color earned me the Best Editing Award in the Serbian Competition at Beldocs in 2021. In 2017, I participated in the Looking China project, where I directed the short essay film Still City. In 2019, I was selected for Talents Sarajevo at the Sarajevo Film Festival.
For years, I’ve also been working as an editor for international studios such as MGM+, Lionsgate and Electric Entertainment on TV series including Robin Hood (2025), The Librarians: The Next Chapter (2024), and others.
My sensibility combines the poetics of intimate, personal works with the technique and discipline of large-scale productions, allowing me to find a balance between independent filmmaking and classical storytelling.
Currently I work as a director on my first feature documentary “Ana The Witch”.
